Equipping Christian Youth for a Connected World

Christian youth face many challenges, but also great opportunities in an increasingly interconnected world where cultural, ideological, and technological influences are intersecting at an unprecedented rate.
Background : Recognizing the challenges faced by today’s young people in Goma, the ECC Church invited TransformDRC to hold a conference for 50 youth, department heads, men and women around the subject : "Values of Christian Youth in the Face of Globalization."
TransformDRC Response : The TransformDRC Staff led this conference with the goal to equip Christian youth to actively engage in a globalized world without compromising their Christian faith.
Outcomes : At the end of the conference, the attendees understood that globalization must not dilute their Christian identity, but rather become a forum to live out the values of the Kingdom of God. This meeting marked a turning point for a new generation of balanced, young Christians rooted in the Word of God, open to the world, yet faithful to Christ. Ultimately, Christian youth must learn to live counter-culturally—not in isolation or judgment, but as witnesses of a different way of life rooted in love, truth, and hope.
Conclusion: The young people left equipped with biblical and practical tools to face the challenges of globalization with discernment, and integrity, and with their Christian faith intact.
